WHAT IS FOOD LICENSE

TYPES OF FOSCOS FOOD LICENSE IN INDIA

BASIC FOSCOS REGISTRATION

 The small and Petty sized food business operators like transport course, suppliers, storage units, manufacturers have to require a basic registration which is issued by the State government for a minimum period of 1–5 years, and the turnover of the business is less than 12 lakh.

FOSCOS FSSAI STATE LICENSE

The turnover of state license is more than 12 lakh but less than 20 lakh, and the period of this license minimum one year and a maximum of five years it is also issued by the respective state government.

FOSCOS CENTRAL FSSAI LICENSE

The turnover of the central license is more than 20 crore, and if they want to operate in more than one state, they have to obtain a license from their head office, and the maximum tenure of this license is five years, and the minimum is one.

PROCEDURE FOR CENTRAL FOSCOS FSSAI LICENSE APPLICATION 

  • Applicant have to see the eligibility criteria to get a central FSSAI license and have to fill the application form according to the rules prescribed by the act
  • The name should be correct, appropriate and the data which is provided should also be correct and authentic
  • The product which was mentioned in the license will be approved as per the FSS act 2006 
  • After filling all the formalities applicant had to submit the prescribed free either online or offline or demand draft in the FSSAI Office

  • If any person wants to expand his business to another state, he has to be obtain a Central license, and he has to procure a State license or basic license for each branch as per the eligibility of the business.

  • We can transfer our license in case of the death of the license holder it can be shifted to the legal heir or any member of the family, the person required to apply to the concerned authority to transfer the license in her own name.
  • All catering company that appears under a central government like railways, airports, seaports, defense, etc. will have to take FSSAI license, and in most of the cases, they have to obtain central FSSAI license.
  • If the food business owner Has failed to comply with the compliances, his license can be suspended by DO after allowing him to show cause or giving reasonable opportunity to be hard.
